By Faith Alone in Creation | The Bumblebee

By faith alone God created the Bumblebee.

This is my faith in creation…

There are about 250 different species of bumblebees. Once a bumblebee stings (usually to protect itself) the stinger breaks off and the bee dies. Only the females (the Queen and worker bees) have a stinger. Males (aka drones) do not sting. Bumblebees favorite food is nectar.

The bumblebee defies the laws are aerodynamics to take off in flight. Modern science has yet to figure out how these small creatures are able to fly. They have done experiments by placing the bees in wind tunnels, measuring their energy and oxygen use, and yet, they have no clue.

Scientists have learned that a flying bumblebee flaps its wings 160 times per second and consumes the equivalent of 180 candy bars per hour! ~CreationMoments

Here is a bumblebee that is so complex in design, scientists are at a loss on how it flies. How is it that humans cannot figure out how a simple bee is able to fly…yet put a man on the moon?

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

By faith alone I believe the bumblebee, and we, were created.

A-ha Moment | Genesis 1:27 tells us “Then God created human beings in his own image…” The Hebrew word for created is bara. Or, creating something out of nothing. This is the creation of our spiritual essence in His own image.*

Genesis 2:7 says, “Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground.” The Hebrew word for formed is yatsar, meaning formed by using existing materials, i.e. the dust of the ground.*

This was never explained in church. It wasn’t until recently, during a Bible study, that it was explained. There is a difference in the two words. The two words are used with intent, to mean two different stages of being created, and formed. And, I was like, “That so makes sense.” A-ha!

Looking at this bumblebee and its glorious design, there is no doubt in my mind that it, and all of us, were created and formed.

The human body is way more complicated than a bumblebee.

It was once thought that a cell was comprised of simple parts. We now know that one cell (even in the smallest organisms) is a small city built with 10 million atoms. And, each atom has a job to do. How does each atom know what job (carry waste, reproduce, digest food, etc.) it needs to do? Science hasn’t even come close to replicating a cell in a lab, nor can they explain it. Because it was created that way!

There is a lot of beautiful in the world God created.

Also, don’t swat the bumblebees. If you don’t bother them, they won’t bother you, you won’t get stung, and they wont die!
