The following is an expository writing assignment by my 10-year-old, complete with her spelling errors. I really need to work with her on her spelling when I become a full-time stay-at-home mom!
How to take care of a dog.
I have always wanted a fabulice white poodle. My friend had two poodle. She had a lot of fun with them. In October 2011 I got a white poodle and a beautiful black lab. I was so happy when I got my fantastic dogs. There are three fantastic things to know about taking care of a dog and they are feeding them, exercising them, and loving them.
First, you have to buy food for your dog. You need to give them food at breakfast and dinner. food is important for dogs. Make sure you give them plenty of water.
Another great thing to with dogs is exercing them. You should throw the ball and see if they go after it. You could also run and wrestle with your dog, too. My dogs favorite thing to do is get walked and play ball. My dogs won’t stop palying, it’s really, really fun.
Last, you need to love your dog. You can hug them very happly. You can pet them. My dogs love me petting them and huging them. It’s really fun.
If you don’t have a dog you should get one. I highly recommend it. If you are able to get a dog, by following these simple steps your dog will live a long and happy life.
