I took a day off work and went to IKEA with my friend Mary. It was a special day, mostly because it was a day for just us. No kids. No husbands. No running around doing something on a to-do list. Just for us. Oh, and, heeellllooo, it’s IKEA!
IKEA opened here in Denver late this summer. People seem to either love it or hate it. There was a lot of controversy over the very large and very blue and yellow building. The building is too big; the parking garage is too big; the sign is too big… Some people just don’t like “big-box” stores. Me, I love ’em! Besides, it’s not a “store” it’s a “destination”.
