celebrating 50 years

My husband is turning the big 5-0 in 3 weeks. When did it happen that I will be married to a 50 year old? We met when I was 19 and he was 30. Ouch. That makes me (and him) sound even older! I am working on planning his party. He has gone from not wanting to do anything for his birthday, to letting me invite “a few” people, to not having a party at all again. To say he is having a hard time with this birthday is an understatement. I can relate. I turned 40 last year. Not fun. But, as they say, “Any day above ground is a good day.” Right?

  1. Love the invitation! It looks great!

I’m turning 30 this year, and I’m wondering where the time went. The other day, I was 16 years old working at Dunkin Donuts, and today, here I am, mother of two, turning 30. My husband will be 40 in two more years.

    Where is the time going?

    1. After 15 years I guess I don’t have a choice but to keep him. I can’t trade him in…he has little trade value with all his dents!
